This policy describes how the GPTme extension (hereinafter "the Extension") handles information during its use. By installing or using the Extension, you accept the practices described herein.
No personal data is collected or transmitted to the developer.
API keys (OpenAI or AkyNet) and your usage preferences are stored locally in your browser or Outlook environment.
Selected text is transmitted solely to OpenAI or AkyNet services for the purpose of fulfilling your request. It is immediately deleted after processing.
No tracking, logging, or cross-referencing of your activities is performed.
Data is used exclusively to:
transmit your text to OpenAI/AkyNet services to generate a correction, rephrasing, or translation;
apply the result in the current page or copy it to your clipboard.
No other purpose is pursued.
Processing is based on:
the performance of the requested service (necessary to produce the correction or translation);
your explicit consent when using the Extension.
The Extension sends no information to the developer or third parties, except OpenAI services or the AkyNet relay (if you choose this option).
No data is sold, rented, or transferred to anyone.
Exchanges with OpenAI/AkyNet are secured via HTTPS. You remain responsible for the confidentiality of your environment (browser, workstation, API keys).
API keys and preferences remain stored locally until you delete them or clear the Extension's data.
No text data is retained after processing.
You may at any time:
access locally stored data via the options page;
modify or delete it;
uninstall the Extension to end all processing.
Any substantial change will be announced on the official Extension page. Continued use constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

📄 Terms of Service (ToS) – GPTme

These Terms govern the use of the GPTme Extension. By installing it, you accept the conditions below.
The Extension provides text correction, rephrasing, and translation assistance (French ↔ English) using AI models accessible via the OpenAI or AkyNet APIs.
Using the Extension requires entering an OpenAI API key or an AkyNet license. You are responsible for the validity and confidentiality of these credentials.
The Extension's operation depends on the availability of third-party services (e.g., OpenAI). No guarantee of continuous availability is provided.
You agree to:
use the Extension in accordance with applicable laws and regulations;
not circumvent or alter security mechanisms;
not use generated results to produce or distribute illegal, harmful, or content contrary to OpenAI/AkyNet's terms of service.
The Extension, its source code, visual identity, and brand remain the property of the developer.
Texts you submit belong entirely to you. Generated results may be freely used, subject to compliance with these ToS and OpenAI/AkyNet usage policies.
The Extension is provided "as is", without warranty of accuracy, performance, or fitness for a particular purpose.
The developer shall not be liable for direct or indirect damages resulting from the use or inability to use the Extension, to the extent permitted by law.
You may uninstall the Extension at any time. In case of non-compliance with the ToS, the developer may withdraw your right of use or cease to maintain the Extension.
The ToS may be updated to reflect changes in the service or legal requirements. Any change will be announced via the official page. Continued use after notification constitutes acceptance of the new ToS.
